John is a senior associate at Jackson Holcomb with a practice focused on claims and disputes and protests and appeals.
John gained an early interest in government affairs while growing up and attending law school in a state capital. He completed an externship with his law school’s Administrative Law Clinical Program and clerked with the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (now the Department of Commerce). John went on to serve as Assistant General Counsel with the Department, a role in which he handled a broad range of legal matters relating to procurement and government contracts, implementation of state and federal programs, litigation, agency rulemaking, oversight of adjudicatory proceedings, legislative affairs, and other legal issues arising while carrying out executive and legislative directives.
Prior to joining Jackson Holcomb, John maintained a private practice in Oregon and Washington, handling litigation matters involving commercial and contract disputes, bid protests, construction defects, professional malpractice, and board licensing. He also handled transactional matters, representing stockholders and multinational companies in large-scale equity and asset-based acquisitions.
A Florida native, John attended the University of South Florida, where he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics. He earned his Juris Doctor cum laude at the Florida State University College of Law.
